CLEARFIELD R.J. The competition required the student group to grade a robot from scratch and then write an algorithmic rule into its computer chip to make it follow a maze-like chassis without touching its walls.

As if this task was not challenging nice when the students arrived, they learned they must completely rebuild and reprogram the robot they brought with them from Daytona land because measurements of the original robot were too large. Determined to succeed, the students went shop for supplies at Radio Shack and Walmart and rebuilt the entire project overnight, including revising the algorithm for the chip.
